The Organic Matter - Biomass energy is released out of plant and animal waste. Biomass is renewable for humans because, if we replace every plant we use, there will always be biomass. It is renewable organic material that comes from plants and animals. This energy is used for cooking and heating in many developing countries. So, these energy resources are necessary to improve the welfare of all people, who could continue to live a better life on our beautiful planet Earth.

Energy from animal waste is generated using tanks called digesters.
Garbage is burned for energy as well. This process is called Waste-to-Energy.
